Loghuis.nl produces two different types of logs; round and square(d). The first type is a real tree trunk house, the trunks are clearly recognizable in the wall. We also use the matching connection for this primal form of building. This so-called Russian connection is characterized by the fact that the trunk is notched over the underlying trunk. This means that the trunks only need to be debarked, a highly requested version in the Netherlands.

If trunks are also planed after debarking, the Canadian compound can also be used. After all, all the wood will then have an even color, so that the flat-ground parts in the connection do not stand out extra.

Another style of houses are made from sawn logs. The round sides of the trunks have been sawn off, creating more rectangular beams. This gives a slightly less rough, but no less sturdy appearance. The connection of this type of log, the Norwegian connection, is more labor intensive because the cross connection is more complex.

In the images above you can also see the Latvian/German connection, which is less common.

For all connections, the original craft is maintained at a high level.
